I had three shirts, my coat, and my luggage an we managed to find ourselves waiting for our flight in the hottest part of the airport for our flight that kept getting delayed. We ended up taking off two hours later than planned leading to a bit of anxiety about making our connection in Amsterdam.
On the plane, we had a delicious dinner of Chicken Korma (me) and cheese and spinach lasagna (Collin). We did our best to sleep and sleep early, but that is a tall order for a 6' 5" frame... We landed in Amsterdam and were rushed through customs to make it to our gate just as our zone was boarding. Our luggage was not so lucky - it didn't make our flight, but was only delayed not even 12 hours. As the Swiss are known for, our luggage was delivered to us in a speedy 8 hours.
After a bit of a learning curve, a few different apps, and a very kind woman who works for SBB, we managed to navigate our way to our hotel! It's beautiful... everything here is, really.
Baby H and I just chillin' for a minute... so many steps, so little sleep!
These light fixtures are in one of the entrances too - they're mountains!
I love flags and I love old European architecture.
I think we did a decent job staying awake just walking around near our hotel and finding our first activity: the Lindt Chocolate Factory...
