Day 3: Zurich to Wilderswil

Just so much beauty... even at the train station!
The 'gyno-brat'... t'was delicious.

We knew we were flying, but HOLY COWS.

Still acclimating to the time-change, but loving the adventure!
They saved me a spot! :)

We pulled into Interlaken and after seeing our first sighting of mountains, Collin said, "Okay, let's move."

It didn't take long to find a long list of reasons to love this part of the world.

We found our Airbnb! It was literally a stone's throw from the train station. (Maybe not from my throw, but if Collin had thrown it, I'm sure it would have hit it.) It was everything we were looking for: charm, perfect proximity, and VERY Swiss.

Just like in our stay in Zurich, the bed was made of two twin mattresses. Unlike in Zurich, the bed was on two twin bedframes (not a king bedframe with two twin mattresses...) Couple that with a 200-year-old building that had sloping floors in the sleeping areas and we found ourselves with some mid-sleep giggles as the beds either moved or grew apart.

How they used to cook!

We saved so much having our own kitchen. We'd make a hearty breakfast before we went out and then have an early dinner wherever we were exploring.

I just loved this entryway organization!

Just a short walk behind our Airbnb.

Cutsie little train station!
Collin found his favorite beer! Rugenbrau, brewed in Interlaken.
We went to 'Luna Picante' at the suggestion of the Airbnb hosts. We had delicious pizza and some good entertainment too! A little boy just to Collin's right view brought in a Little Tykes washing machine and was playing with that while we ate. His parents seemed as surprised as the rest of us when he muscled that in!

Another North Fayette Valley name: Aeshlimann. There were three of these old confirmation certificates framed by the front door. I loved the intricate design of them!

Travel days didn't have as much of a story, but we were so happy to find this sweet village.
